 "The movement of Co-operative and Fairtrade development" research project, stage 4, has been continuously conducted under the support from Thailand Research Fund since 2001, and has now moved to its 11th year. The methodology which requires particpation from the research communities has been in line with its road map to accomplish the vision of "people in harmony to develop the country and promote happy society"
Co-operative movement development and Fairtrade Project
    The conduct of research series on the Co-operative Movement and Fairtrade Development aims to supplement and extend the knowledge of the “valued network connection” by conducting three main projects, divided into eleven sub-projects, of participatory action research. These are the area-based research projects - with three sub-projects; a Valued Network Research Project of Phitsanulok Province, a Valued Network Project of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, and Land and Settlement Valued Network Project - the research projects dedicated to establish alliance connection under the supply chain - with seven sub-projects; Moral Rice Valued Network Project, Thai Co-operatives Jasmine Rice Valued Network, a Conservative Community Tourism Network Project, a Distribution Valued Network Project, a Cassava Valued Network Project, a Fruit Valued Network Project, and a Rubber Valued Network Project – and the research project dedicated to support co-operative development – Co-operative Information Network Project.
 
Branding as the marketing strategy for organic products: A case study on Moral Rice
    In 2006, the Dharma Ruamjai foundation’s farmers (DRF) who grew organic Hom Mali rice, in Yasothron province, had experienced the rapid price slump. After engaging in the participatory action research (PAR) program which employs of the knowledge management method on the production and marketing, the development of channel distribution and branding.
The Development of Co-operative Movement in the 36 Provinces
    The objective focuses on the process of network building among groups/organizations and co-operatives. The result of the research project series were as expected, that is, the establishment of a network of researchers consisting of 300 researchers with common concept, skills and experiences for the “Value Network Connection”. These researchers has managed to build up participation process among more than 38,342 leaders of the groups/organizations and co-operatives in those 36 province area. There were 117 networks established consisting of networks for business, social/local and academic purposes.
The Co-operative Development Plan II (2007-2011)
    The Second Co-operative Development Plan II (2007-2011) is a strategic framework of the co-operative development which is in accord with the tenth National Economic and Social Development Plan together with related conditions. They are guidelines for the development of cooperation applied to every concerned sector both in the Co-operative Movement and the Public sector, in order to attain in 2011, the preseribed goals of co-operative visions.
